Grade 9 And Grade 8 Classes

 This September, Waltham Youth Soccer will be kicking off their Fall Soccer Season. As always, they will be needing plenty of referees to cover games. Not patched? Not a problem.......... Just one city over from Waltham at the Newton Marriott on August 17th you can get your patch. The MSRC is still taking enrollments. Visit www.massref.net to sign up. Don't just be at the games, be the center of the games!

Brush Up On Those Skills

After a well enjoyed Summer at the beach, you may have washed some of your referee skills out with the tide. Not to worry. WYS has you covered. Ray Halleran, our trusted Referee Coordinator, will be giving a few refresher classes to all our returning referees. Check back here at WYS Referee for dates and times of up coming classes.

Look Official

When it's time to take the field, you want everyone there to know who's the boss. Always show up early and always dress for the part. Be confident and take pride in yourself as you approach the field. Coaches and players will listen to you and take you seriously when you look professional. Why should they tuck thier jerseys in if you don't have yours tucked in????? You set the standard, so look your best. You never know who will be at a game watching you when you are out there centering. Take that extra time to make sure your referee uniform is clean and neat. As the saying goes "You never get a second chance to make a first impression"
